What are neuropsychological tests?

Neuropsychological tests are activities that are especially intended to evaluate a psychological function that is known to be associated with a certain brain structure or pathway. In most cases, they entail the methodical administration of precisely specified processes in a formal setting. Neuropsychological tests are often given to a single individual working with an examiner in a calm, distraction-free office setting. As a result, it is possible to claim that neuropsychological tests can sometimes provide an estimate of a person’s highest level of cognitive function. Neuropsychological tests are an essential part of the neuropsychological evaluation process.
